Starfield has been delayed to avoid what happened with Cyberpunk 2077.
Yesterday, the developers of Starfield announced the postponement of its release until next year, in order to work on it and release a good product for players, but the fact that the cancellation was made to avoid what happened with the game Cyberpunk 2077.
We mentioned earlier that what happened with Cyberpunk 2077 and its developers at CD Project Red is an important lesson for many developers in the video game industry. What happened with this team is that they rushed the development process of the game without the required scrutiny, to eventually release it and it was full of technical errors and problems that took nearly a year to fix and this is what the Starfield developers avoided.
After the news of the game’s release delay, Jason Schreyer, the editor of the famous Bloomberg website, came out and through his Twitter account, to confirm that the game was postponed to avoid what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, and stated the following:
Last spring before E3, I spoke to some folks on the Starfield game team who were very concerned about sticking to a release date of 11-11-22 based on their progress so far.
The developers of the game were afraid of rushing and putting pressure on them in the development process so that it would be launched on time, and accordingly, a decision was made to postpone it until the first half of next year 2023.
Starfield is a science fiction RPG based on the work of the American space company NASA. With this postponement, the game has received its second postponement in a row, but for how long?
It is noteworthy that some opinions on this topic have been widely debated in the industry yesterday, and we have attached all of them in a detailed and sufficient report on the entire story
