Source: The next Battlefield series will be released in 2024.
A reliable industry source has claimed that the next installment of the Battlefield series will be released in 2024 in order for the publisher to avoid the mistakes and lapses it made in the latter part of the series.
The source of this news, as usual, is the well-known journalist Tom Henderson, who, as usual, shared with us the information about the launch of the next part of the Battlefield series in 2024 through his account on Twitter, and expanded to talk more after an article he wrote through What If Gaming.
Tom indicated in his article that EA’s recent financial report meeting, CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed that they will take the development of the upcoming series parts from a long-term perspective, when he was asked by one of the analysis companies about the series in general, where he stated:
We’ll take a long look here at the next part of the series.
The chain is one of the great franchises in our industry developed by one of the great teams in our industry.
We expect it to continue to grow and be a really important part of our portfolio for many years to come.
Wilson had hinted earlier about the possibility of launching the next Battlefield game during the year 2023, especially since it had been under development for a while, and at the present time the stumbling of the current part has attracted players whose number has begun to decrease on all platforms in an unprecedented way.
The first season pass for Battlefield 2042 is scheduled to be released in June of this year, which in turn will contain new vehicles, new weapons and new factions as well.
Do you think EA will learn from this lesson that happened due to its current game and focus more on the next part?
