You won’t be able to play the first quartet of Metal Gear Solid on the current generation soon

The Metal Gear Solid series is one of the most famous titles in the video game industry and, as everyone knows, is a title owned by Konami and directed by veteran Kojima, as well as one of the most awaited series by players.

In previous news, we revealed the possibility of about 60 games leaving the PS Now service, in preparation for merging with the new PlayStation Plus service, to form the three categories of the last service in its new form. One of the series that will leave the service will be the Metal Gear Solid series, as the first four parts of it will not be playable on current generation consoles after the date of the 17th of this month.

The source of this news came through the Resetera website, which stated that the first four parts of the series will not be playable on the devices of the current generation, but it will be playable on the devices of the last generation, but with two conditions, which are either to have physical copies of these parts to play with them via the PlayStation 4, for example, or Xbox One, or if you already have digital copies of it.

During the past year, the first and second parts of the series were withdrawn on all digital stores, due to problems with Konami regarding the use of licenses, and now the first and fourth parts will follow after the mentioned date, and only the last fifth part and the part called Survive will remain playable on the past and current scam platforms.
