After the news of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 broke today, the developer appears to us at Ninja Theory Studio with an image taken from inside the game on the occasion of Earth Day.

The picture that you can see below was taken with the Shift Off wide camera system, and at first glance, many may think that it is a real picture, especially as it reflects the Irish coast of Djúpalónssandur.

The image is confirmed to be taken from within the game engine as it is indicated that it was taken through an ongoing development process, in-progress screenshot. In the text accompanying the image below:

Djúpalónssandur Beach in Ireland shown as a screenshot in progress from Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The beach is covered with dark volcanic rocks and broken ships litter the beaches.

This image might not be enough to satisfy Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 fans hungry for more highly anticipated Xbox exclusives. But it shows the strength of the graphics, which reflect realism to the extreme.

Since the featured review at The Game Awards 2021 last year, the developers at Ninja Theory haven’t shared any new details about the game or even a hint of a release date or timeframe.

Several previous reports revealed that the game will provide an experience that fans of the series will feel independent and not closely related to the first part that was released on the PlayStation 4. While the quality of the game was described as the maximum that a veteran developer such as Ninja Theory can provide.

Unfortunately, as of the moment of writing this report, there is no specific date or time frame for the game’s launch.
